That is a good point about the 2008 crisis. I think some of it might be like a top NCAA football program hiring a black coach. Things are so bad that the boosters are like" We might as well at this point."

But if a salesman consistently can't close the deal at some point he needs to change his approach, change the product or find a new line of work, right? Blaming the market (voters) won't get him where he needs to go. Democrats have been getting their brains beat in in election after election. This could be cultural,

Why was Obama able to win twice at the same time that Democrats were going on a country wide losing streak? That's what I don't think anyone has been able to explain completely. Part of it is redistricting/gerrymandering but that wouldn't explain state wide elections at every level.

Food for thought.

"Unfortunately, to put it in one phrase, the Democrats are unable to defend the United States of America from the most vicious, ignorant, corporate-indentured, militaristic, anti-union, anti-consumer, anti-environment, anti-posterity [Republican Party] in history."

Pretty much. People should be smarter.

That's the father of noted gangster MIchael Franzese, who pioneered the gas tax evasion scheme with Russian and Israeli mobsters.

What is the answer when the oppression comes from the private sector, though?

Obama got ahead of where the voters were on that one. Nobody wants to see their taxes rise or their college savings be raided for no good reason. Look at the response of some Democratic representatives/senators to the idea of stopping federal tax deductions for state and local taxes.

When you look at some of the statements by Hodgkinson they are overflowing with disdain for Republicans/conservatives. If they were aimed the other way some people would have no issue calling them hateful.

But what defines terrorism is violence in pursuit of political aims. That Hodgkinson asked if the people were Republicans or not before he started shooting is enough. When you look at his FB statements and those by people who knew him I think that's more than enough evidence. He was a highly politically engaged man.

All this will do is to feed the right-wing victimization complex as well as increase the calls for Facebook and other social media to clamp down on "hate speech".

"Hodgkinson’s Facebook page features a banner image of Senator Bernie Sanders and a profile picture about Democratic Socialism. His profile picture says, “Democratic Socialism explained in 3 words: ‘We the People’ Since 1776."

There was a team before the Bulls, though. 😎

Hmm. Well I doubt we put 78 on you again ☻ but it will be interesting to see what happens. I'm pretty sure Rutgers will score this time. 😈
