I find child pageantry so disturbing. Then it moves on to the Miss this and that and all the rest of the zoo. Nose bobs and ears pinned back, and scarcely an iota of concern about what’s inside. It’s so sad really, and the hook: money for the child’s education! But at what price?

I’m wondering if daughter will get much taller? Unlike Real people’s kids, she doesn’t seem to have any awkward growth phase or coltishness to her.
