As someone who gave into the marketing and bought this game on day one, I am very much enjoying it. The whole thing does get a little exhausting after a while, but I feel that way about all multiplayer shooters really.

Honestly, the fact that a woman of color is one of the default playable characters in the biggest game of the year was shocking (in a good way). Mad props to them for just including that.
From the sim game Capitalism. Capitalism is an incredibly complex game with many, many moving parts, and the tutorial covers as much as it can. It took me 30-45 minutes to complete, and afterwards I still only partly grasped the concept of the game. But then it presented a screen telling me I had finished Part 1 of 8.…

The THX sound will always, always remind me of "The Audience is Now Deaf." http://www.youtube.com/watc…
If you want to go out of the way, try Stoney's. It's a pretty standard beer-and-a-burger type setting, but their menu is exquisite, particularly the mac and cheese. Also out of the way but worthwhile is Ted's Bulletin, which is sort of a… steampunk diner? I don't know, but they have alcoholic milkshakes and specialty…
Meskerem is pretty terrific as well.
I think the most insightful (?) events occurred on "Bloody Sunday." Supposedly the whole thing was caused by a bunch of trolls who attempted to take over the democracy voting system to release all the Pokémon, so many people countered by instituting anarchy again. They collectively decided that they'd rather risk…
One of my favorite parts of this weird culture is how it's bled over into normal Pokémon. Helix Fossils are much easier to obtain in Pokémon Y, and as such, the global trading marketplace has reportedly been filled with Charmeleons and Pidgeots holding Helix Fossils. I can't confirm this first-hand, but that's amazing…
Art Boy Sin really intrigues me because it requires the photographer, which is essentially a non-player role. I can't think of many other games where you need a player who is simply arbitrating. Judges in games are usually rotating positions like Cards Against Humanity), and the few that have permanent host roles…
I was looking mainly at what Nelson said in the fourth paragraph, but yeah I was probably reading a little too much into that. Still a valid point though: you can't just have your main sympathetic character be an amalgamation of terrible behavior and then write it off because it's "satire."
[derp, sorta redacted, see below]
You can mention it if you want… maybe Dorris mentioned it.
That's a very good point. I love StarTropics but I feel like I have to relearn it every time I play it.
The AV Club's review of the "Friendship" episode has the best explanation of the hunk dynamic I've seen.
The best show on Water Planet.
I had a similar burnout on games about a year to a year and a half ago because of the community. It's hard to enjoy any games, let alone popular games, knowing that it is impossible to ever discuss them with anyone or read any opinions about them because everyone is so toxic. I know there are people who would actually…
"Human sacrifice, dogs and cats 𝚃𝚆𝙴𝚁𝙺𝙸𝙽𝙶 together… mass hysteria!"
And don't forget that on the PC version of THPS3, you can play as the goddamn Doom Guy for some reason. Naturally he's very fast but can't really jump.
And now who's laughing? That guy is probably riding around Azaroth on his dinosaur-sized Grand Moff Tarkin as we speak.
