Because Tie Fighter was pretty much perfect. It was everything a space shooter ever needed to be. And still is.
The white and red really DOES look great, as does the ship design itself.
In the gaming industry we call this the "Two Six-Pack" rule.
The fondest memories of airplanes I have (as a 6'4", broad shouldered, moderately overweight man) are flying KLM and Swiss Air. KLM had the best seats.
Billionaire superheroes Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne's defense companies both had one, and now real-world defense…
Here's an amazing idea, assume every copy shipped will sell, then make sure your servers can handle the load of all of them being online simultaneously. Assume player participation will drop precipitously and lease hardware as required. It's not fucking rocket science.
why don't these companies short term lease a server farm for the first month or so when a game like this comes out? Then, once they have a good idea of peak load, scale back to that.
"...there are certain people who are trying to make the whole world eat what they want to eat and do what they want to do. I don't think it's any of their business what I put in my mouth."

10 fucking shits = 1 clusterfuck
10 clusterfucks = 1 Jesus tap-dancing Christ
