Smash is not a 3D game in its execution or mechanics, there are many instances where a move “wouldn’t hit” if it was being treated as a 3D attack. This is one of the few cases where it’s not being respected as a 2D hit.

Other 3D on a 2D axis fighting games don’t act this way, and no other move in the game seems to act this way. It’s a glitch.

Overall I enjoyed it, but it was no where near as good as Get Out. Sadly, thanks to my years of watching The Simpson the twist of Adelaide being one of the tethered this entire time was ruined by a god damn Halloween episode and I saw it coming a mile away.
