It's so weird they chose to do things that way too.  I stopped by the Splatoon 2 Open and heard that the gear load out didn't have subs.  If anything, I think items for competitive should be turned off and maybe subs turned on (though it is hard to roll the right stats for gear)

There are moves in the game that allow people to do that (shielding + directional input is a sidestep that allows you to dodge attacks in that manner).  The problem is outside of that intentional mechanic, I can’t think of any other move that allows you to dodge through the z-axis.  Like Gilthwixt said, a shield break…

Does this affect Vrv pricing? I never paid for CR but I forgot about my free trial to Vrv which I ended up keeping anyway. Trying to watch CR on my Chromecast and Xbox was absolute ass for me for a while, but Vrv has been pretty good.
