2-stroke engines are far dirtier and noisier than your Honda mower. IMO replacing 2-strokes with battery equivalents should take priority when replacing one’s collection of lawn tools.

I’ve been planning on replacing my 14 year old lawnmower with a battery version when it dies, but it just doesn’t seem to want to. My electricity comes from a coal-burning plant, so it might be a wash environmentally, but I’d enjoy having something quieter.

State funding of colleges and universities has dropped off wildly over the decades so if your loans/tuition were less decades ago, it was because someone else’s tax dollars helped pay a LOT of your education in public funding of colleges and universities. That money is gone and tuition is way higher compared to wages.

“state-of-the-art military satellite network”

I think about this a lot these days. I live in a affluent area in California. I identify myself as pretty liberal. And yet I pull up to every other stop light and there’s 2-3 Teslas. And I wonder- what do these people think about the fact that the CEO of the company that made their cars is a flaming, homophobic,

Elon Mush is a fucking piece of shit and no one should ever buy a tesla and give him their money, period.

I can’t believe people still look up to this asshole

I have put a deposit down on a Cybertruck under the name Duke Nukem.

I am so going to buy one of those Cybertruck right after I buy my flying car.

This all could have been prevented if there had been a third person with a larger, higher-caliber gun who could have defused the situation.

True, I don’t “know” that, but again - safe bet :)

Yes, very well said. Just this last week, I was wondering how different things would have been if RBG had gracefully retired when Obama was still in office? How much worse off is our nation due to her insistence on staying on the Supreme Court well past any point of reasonable retirement?

Of course being 90 is a significant health issue in & of itself. You’re also ignoring her memory problems. There is no valid reason to be working when you’re 90, absolutely none, period, end of fucking story. Feinstein was the definition of clinging to power. Good fucking riddance.

We’re not that far removed from companies using cops to bust up unions, I wouldn’t put anything past them today.

Good point.  That is important for children and old people to flee on site.  It’s not like the driver can see them.

a coworker just got one this week. i was looking it over and i see a major flaw in the front end design. the large grill does nothing to protect the radiators and intercoolers. theres also very little crash structure there. so the smallest impact will cost thousands of dollars and disable the truck

I have worked in union and non-union places and the union workplaces were always better in my opinion. But then again I am not a self-centered overconfident man that thinks he alone can do better than collective bargaining

It’s safe to say that Trump has been an example of why what should be unnecessary safeguards get implemented. The political equivalent of the guy who is why they put “not to be taken orally” on suppositories. Nobody really expected to have to deal with someone so willing to ignore all previous conventions.

Well nobody is more concerned with the environment than the fast fashion industry

Yeah, they’re charging for returns “cause emissions”.
