I love dinosaurs. Always have. Love movies with people menaced by dinos, science be damned. “Cave people”, “Lost World explorers”, cowboys (Gwangi!), etc. And I loved this short. I’m all on board with suspension of disbelief.

When the only thing in your tool box is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. If this site doesn’t post 5 articles on alleged bigotry of one kind or another in “geek genre” entertainment, they miss their quota.

In some ways, though, you illustrate the enormous difficulties with trying to “police the news”.

“Trump era fascism”. Again, people throw that term around without any clue what fascism is.

Let’s face it, characters can be “bad and fun”, or “bad and vile”, in varying complicated measures, that often defy easy explanation.

Utter insanity. The US military, the US government, is the Empire. The First Order. Total, realty-defying derangement.

Oh, stop trying to be cute and own your obscene insinuation. No one uses the term “concentration camp” since WW2 without intending to invoke the death camps. You knew precisely what you were doing. You mentioned the Holocaust just moments before.

Nnonsense. Of course, that’s the Progressive party line. You “care”, while Conservatives want to do harm. It’s total rubbish, it’s obscene fantasy.

Breathtakingly arrogant, and ignorant.

Oh sure. I mean, for one thing, extralegal vigilantes are innately Progressive, right? And nothing says “Progressive” like taking a “tough on crime” stance.

Yep. I mean, a camp is a camp, right. No meaningful differences between Auschwitz, etc, and the current American camps at all.

I would love it if Progressives could travel to an alternate universe where their favorite comic book characters routinely and universally were used to push Conservative platitudes, where Progressives were always straw-man villains, and where Conservatives hand-waved away calls for apolitical storytelling by arguing th

You are joking, right? Look at the political affiliations of the wealthiest people in America, many of them running the tech, entertainment and social media giants. Look at the donation patterns of "big business". Then get back to us with a reality check.

Please.

Timing.

We’re not long past two mass shootings and embroiled in an angry argument over whether certain political rhetoric motivated these - and other, past- shooters. It’s probably not a bad idea to delay the release of any movie that isn’t “just” violent, but where political or socioeconomic motives drive the carnage.

I think you are spot on. I had no problem with it, but they did take an unusual editorial approach.

I would argue that most of the OTHER movie adaptions over complicate things, because they all want to tell the story of a Batman who on some level wishes he could stop being Batman. The Burton Batman did, the Nolan Batman did.... and sorry, but nope. At the core, the character has no doubts. That’s part of why the

The best movie Batman we’ve had, and probably will ever have.

The term “virtue signaling” is overused, but yeah, this is virtue signaling. Does anyone seriously, really believe that the decades old “bathing suit look” was ever under serious consideration for this movie? For a moment? Really? Truly? No way. This is dealing with a “challenge” that was never a challenge to begin
