Netflix, etc was a novelty on consoles in the Wii/360/PS3 generation, but now if you don’t have it on your console, it’s on your smart TV, phone, Blu Ray Player, etc. If those streaming services are important to you, you had access to it before last…

I think you’re just severely underestimating the portability factor. The Wii U wanted you to believe it was semi-portable, but I could barely play New Super Mario Bros. U from the bathroom on it, especially with that tiny, terrible screen.

Late in the Wii U’s life, and continuing through the Switch launch (which I got) and through a few months ago, I would keep thinking about buying one. I really, really wanted to get Mario Maker (the 3DS version is too cut down), as well as the Mario platformer and a few other titles.

the Switch has one thing going for it that Wii & WiiU didn’t; it is not just a console, it is also an handheld.

I dunno about impressive, but most surprising is definitely XC2 selling over a million copies in a month.
