I just could not get into IX very much. I played it and beat it all the way through twice. But both times I absolutely was not into it. I liked the other PSX era FF’s better.

Completely agreed. At very least, 9 is the crown jewel of 3d Final Fantasy. Arguments could be made about best FF overall, but that’s a different discussion.

Final Fantasy 9 is one of my favorite games and imo way better than FF7....
