As a last technical detail, those “mobs” wouldn’t theoretically be vigilante justice as they were groups of citizens deputized by law enforcement in order to make the arrest/killing. With small populations and meager social services, these temporary law enforcement groups would fill in for a nonexistent police force.…

Excellent point. I work in education and am very careful with what I post. She should have been more cautious. The bright side is that she exposed herself as unfit for her job.

So, giving her ALL the benefit of the doubt.... let’s assume the lyrics were about wild-west lynchings: lynch mobs chasing down bank robbers like in the old westerns and not KKK lynchings....
