I don’t think he’s saying that at all. It sounds to me like he’s saying the bad comes with the good. I.e. Musk is a pretty big douche, but he may still be a net benefit to humanity due to advancing certain technologies.

Very much agree. If i had that sort of cash the Taycan cross turismo is the exact car i would buy as a daily driver. I love that car. 

And IMO the Cross-turismo version is even more striking.

Neutral: The Taycan is amazing, imo. I see one here in my little town pretty regularly and i stare at it every time it drives by. Its a very striking car in a way that no Tesla approaches. 

They are both perfectly cromulent.

I’m just one data point, but I traded a Tesla in for Camaro SS back in January, for the reason that the car delivered on the promises it made (mostly), but being a customer of Elon Musk is just so goddamn infuriating.

Good question and I don’t really know...a newer Tesla maybe?  I will say that I have had a few clients who bought Teslas and found that the cars were not as good as the hype made them out to me and came to me to find them a BMW, Volov, Mercedes etc...

right but this is under 40 grand...Granted you can get a used newer year E-class for that much, or even a new A class. But still an electric car that looks like a classic, has the interior style of an S class or a Bentley, and for under 40K? if the range is about 300 miles, shoot even 250 sign me up

Minus the steering wheel it’s just a Mercedes rip-off.
