Anime is anime, I like my definition as it fits what I think is anime while you likely have a different opinion which is cool. Its just dumb when people start policing others based on their own opinions though.

This is an interesting comment as you’re getting to a really interesting distinction between “Key Animation” and “In Between Animation” which are done outside of Japan for much cheaper. All but the most big budget does this form of outsourcing.

just released a short anime film called Shelter, which he made along with A-1 Pictures. It’s about a girl living alone in a simulation that her father created for her. Shelter’s music is a light, synthy pop and the animation is pure delight.
