Now gray/grey isn't the only color/colour spelled differently/correctly in Canada.

Mance didn't make much noise when on the pyre so the possibility of a muzzled replacement is still there. But they could have used his silence to show Mance's strength and defiance while faking-out those expecting him to be secretly alive.

I thought of King Lear first because I just finished reading Station Eleven, and that begins with a staging of Lear that uses childhood versions of the princesses. But then I remembered Ian McKellen as Richard III and all was good.

You're welcome, see you at the audition!

I didn't have a problem with my postal code, or I didn't notice it cutting me off after five characters. Maybe they are updating as we speak?

I just went to Jeopardy site to sign up for the next online test, and found a spoiler in the hometown howdies. Now they have a banner saying what day a contestant will appear on, but [spoiler for tonight's game] Michael's says Wednesday. So tonight is a good night to put some money on who you think will win.

It looks like the old audition system is gone following this overhaul. So I didn't get a notification but can take the test on a tablet.

Akira Kurosawa's Ran was on TV and I'd wanted to watch it after reading the AK Primer from a few years ago. It was fucking captivating! It is different enough from King Lear that I could be surprised by details, and the battle scene are enormous. Jiro is a terrible general—"My brother's army is hiding in the

Great game, but this should have been an easy FJ for anyone studying past games because it was a repeat!

During a quick scan of the clue, I thought that the clue was about something being number one from the east coast to the Caribbean, so I was even thinking of Maine before hearing the clue properly and I noticing the pre-Spanish–American War date.

I can forgive not knowing the Umbrella Corporation is from Resident Evil, but the $1600 clue's "replicate the name of this movie featuring the Tyrell Corporation" should have lead them straight to Blade Runner.

When Alex tried to explain "Don't L Me" it made it sound so broad, but wow did I enjoy it! They probably could have made it even more difficult because they seemed to come down to two options (True/False, Fair/Foul, Blue/White), but I look forward to another category in this style in the future. Hmmm, 103 means you've already heard your last episode with Sarah. Dan is a good replacement, trying to give the team direction, but they've been stuck between a blue giant's road with heavy traffic and a woods full of murderous animals for several episodes now. Last week they were about to do some interrogating, so

Well, she should have heard of them already from being alive (or from reading the AV Club), and knowing Murakami's name has only helped once on Jeopardy. David

I'm on the third Amber book now. What I love is the plot misdirection. The first book started like a retake-the-throne adventure, but the opening up the path for Chaos was the important plot point. Plus Corwin doesn't retake the throne!

The first four books are really fun, and I get what you mean about not needing to read the next immediately. I quit after book six, which made two bad choices, in my opinion: having a non-Thursday narrator and redesigning the bookworld.

There was a nice tribute to him near the entrance of my branch, and I'm going back to pick up the Going Postal DVD this evening.

Oh wow, I've got Heir beside the computer right now. I just entered it (and the next of Zelazny's Amber books) in my "to reads" on GoodReads, though I'd like to clear out some library books first.

The moderator felt the same way—she said she finished the book and turned back to the beginning to start it again.
