I think Western Intel knows where most are. It isn’t hard to find them in forested areas either because roads. I think I found several just using Google Earth. I know I found one now, I can see the trenches surrounding it.

That border on the Korean Peninsula is the quietest hot zone on the planet. That war has never actually ended and the only way it goes hot again is if China allows it. So it isn’t like we’d be going in and causing trouble where there wasn’t any already.

In most months not December or January, infantry platoons spend about a week in the field. The rest of the time is cleaning weapons or barracks, classes, physical training (exercise) and duty. The officers were doing much of the same, but instead of cleaning, they were planning the next field exercises.
