People jump off of bridges without being seen all the time. In particular, people jump into the Hudson river off of the George Washington Bridge without being seen all the time. You could be right overall, but this isn’t the piece of evidence you think it is.

I’m on board with all of this.

You’re not wrong, but I wouldn’t exactly put Metallica and Britney in different categories - at least as far as cool/not cool is concerned.

Accepted - and you too!

“Actions speak louder than demonstrations” is truly one of the dumbest phrases ever uttered on television.

Really great minds spell properly. You win.

Also Mayoral ones. And the ones that happen all the time when UN dignitaries visit. Or when the Pope came to town. Also the St. Patrick’s Day parade. And the Puerto Rican Day Parade. And the Dominican Day Parade. And the Greek Independence Day Parade. Not to mention, of course, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day

Yeah, ground definitely would have been stood.

I was thinking textiles are going to be a particularly obvious - and particularly regressive - impact. It’s going to hurt a lot less for people (like me, tbh) that already buy some portion of their clothing from high-end domestic manufacturers than for people who are reliant on Wal-Mart’s and Old Navy’s cheap imports

All I can hear looking at Chazelle, is the Curb Your Enthusiasm theme.
