That’s the chair as much as the table. A low stool, or even a bean bag, are way better. We took the three tables we made out for the public to play in Leeds (UK), and had some low buffets for people to sit on — those were perfect.

Yep, that’s the exact table (I built it :-) ). We also made a white and a black one, which looked superb too. At IKEA, I noticed there was a glossy green and a matt pink table, too. The black table was even cheaper, at £5 rather than £8. But the shiny red gave it that retro futuristic vibe that I love, though :-)
Yeah, but, Build a Comparably Cheap Game Table with a Raspberry Pi, Arduino Leonardo, IKEA Lack Table, Old LCD Monitor, Joystick, Some Buttons, and a Few Cables All Totalling Around Less Than About $100 Which is Pretty Cheap All Things Considered IMHO was too long for Kinja
Cheaper (and much easier) than building a full-on cabinet or buying a retro cabinet.
Thank you so much for posting this. I’ve been looking to pick up a little project like this, and this is perfect.
This is just the thing to get my lazy butt into programming a RP. Excellent work.
