Yeah, I think it's more that they're going with a more realistic art style and the professors are rather glamorous.

I hope we’re not *completely* going back to the traditional catching mechanics, like this trailer suggests. People responded SO well to catching in Arceus, and GF could definitely find a balance between that and the traditional system.

It’s interesting because I feel like 3D Zelda “clones” were pretty common until the mid 2000s, but fairly quickly stopped coming out. Though I suppose that tracks with the entire industry losing interest in character action games in general during that period.

While I agree, the latest demo looked REAL jank. Clunky combat (how can you make Nightwing look so inelegant?!), and sub-par graphics for a next gen exclusive.

There’s a difference between Tony making an enormous mistake and Wanda becoming literally evil, though. 

Sure, but no matter how unhappy those heroes are, none of them collapsed under the weight of their trauma to literally become evil. That’s a gigantic difference.

My issue is with their treatment of one of their few female *heroes*. Loki and Killmonger were villains. (Obviously Loki started transitioning to anti-hero status over time, but when he did the things you mentioned he was purely a villain.) I think there’s a meaningful difference there.
