Ethan running at the games industry like RATATATATA

I mean, they’ve consistently topped or been near the top of best seller lists, so I think people are still into them lol

The back button attachment came out in 2019, IIRC, while Scuf has been litigious since at least 2014

I mean, Scuf can be blamed for their patent on back paddles, but Sony can be blamed for not creating a Dualsense version of their Dualshock attachment lol

Technically it’s only for back paddles, not buttons, which is why other companies can get away with back buttons. (And Microsoft pays them to use paddles on the elite.)

SAME. It’s tragic because I can’t play Overwatch without it anymore lol

This mostly makes me sad that there isn't a back button controller for the dual sense.

Oh God this is so good

I don’t think changing direction as the business environment changes counts as “decline of principle.”

I doubt you’ll ever see Google Maps return to that feature set. The vast majority of people use it for all the features you don’t like lol

It’s not a setting so much as a feature, but Timeline is incredibly useful if you’re not horrified by the detailed level of tracking lol. I’ve used it to remember random stops I’ve made on road trips, what time I left the house to take a walk, when I arrive/leave work for my timesheet... It's a lifeline for my ADHD.

I’m 100% here for more hero shooters that focus on abilities and team play more than mechanics (IE not Valorant lol)

I’m actually really pumped about this. The only MOBA that ever clicked with me was Arena of Valor on the Switch, both because it was relatively simple and because of the controller controls. The community died out a few years ago, though, and nothing has scratched that itch since. Here's hoping this one is good since

Reminds me of when the LA Valiant did the exact same thing, except it was one player and they took him to an In and Out parking lot for the conversation (jump to 5:10):

I actually wasn’t talking about DLSS (because there’s no way the poor Tegra X1 could run DLSS lol), I was talking about the AI Upscaling Nvidia uses on the 2019 Shield TV. It’s easily the best upscaling I’ve seen, especially with games, and works natively on the Tegra.

The New 3DS actually sold pretty well; almost 10 million in its first two years, which was almost half of all 3DS/2DS sales during that time. It didn’t excite many people, and hardly any games used the additional features or power, but financially it’s a decent argument for a Switch Pro. (The DSi also did way better

The new Switch is .1 inches longer and .05 pounds heavier than the original, but has identical dimensions otherwise, so the original will fit almost perfectly in the new dock.

Yeah, I was hoping for a little more “oomph” to cut back on the slowdown. I have a feeling Nintendo wanted that, but supply chain issues are forcing their hand.

I mean, I would probably shell out the money for a slightly stronger Switch if it played current Switch games with less slowdown/resolution scaling.

I mean, increased specs would mean that it could run current games better. Tons of Switch games have slowdown or need to drop the resolution below HD because the Switch can’t keep up—a marginally stronger machine could reduce those instances significantly.
