The problem is that there’s a good chance they won’t be making the Switch itself more powerful, they’ll just be adding something to the dock that will upscale everything to 4k. And that’s not going to help with stability or frame rates.

And the thing is, I doubt they’re adding any more horsepower; from leaks it seems as though the dock will simply have a chip for upscaling.

It’s very interesting that you didn't mention quick resume, given how frequently people mentioned it when both consoles launched.

I’m hoping this turns out well, because it’s looking like a system seller for me. I’ve been missing Dishonored-style action for a long time. (I’m too much of a scaredy cat for Prey.)

If anything, this suggests that FFVIIR part 2+ won’t hew too closely to the rest of the compilation. Like, they’re already recreating the originals, so they don't need to be bound to those stories. (Which is what the ending of FFVIIR suggests anyway.)

While I’m disappointed in the top down perspective, I’m REALLY pumped for the QoL features it’ll get from recent years. I’ve been itching to replay Diamond, but resisted because I know I’d get annoyed by all the 2007-ness.
