My problem is that new core content (meaning heroes and maps for non-arcade modes) has completely shut down. It feels like near total abandonment of fans who have stuck with the game since launch, even as the player base has shrunk and queue times have grown significantly. (The only upside is more frequent balance

Glad I could help 🙂

Yeah, Efi has never been featured in game besides being on a banner in one of the maps.

I’m mostly irritated that Overwatch will continue to go without any new content for the next year. By the time OW2 is released, we’ll have gone roughly 2 years without any new heroes, and even longer without a new non-arcade map. Even the events have stopped adding new modes, instead opting to remix the modes we’ve

I mean

That’s exactly what they’re doing. The engine is getting updated and all OW1 players will get the new PVP content for free, and eventually be migrated to the OW2 client at no cost. Paying for OW2 is basically just getting you the campaign and other PVE elements.

desperately hoping this means I can’t fall into the water and die anymore lol

You need to play more JRPGs, because the best ones don’t require grinding at all.

No, it’s still entirely turn-based, it’s just the turn order system has changed. Previously you would pick all of your team’s actions at once, and then watch every action play out (both allies and enemies) based on speed. It’s the same way combat works in Dragon Quest, Golden Sun, and tons of other JRPGs.

I loved it SO MUCH until that stupid part where you had to race your clones to collect a bunch of hearts or something from each corrupted region. Summoning some dragons or something? Ugh that was the worst

SS didn’t have any camera control. If they added it to the rerelease, though, I imagine you’d hold a trigger down to make the right stick control your sword, and the rest of the time it just does camera

And 3DW has the perfect level of chaos. It’s not like the NSMB games where everyone’s crowded together and will inevitably fuck each other up on accident; there’s enough room that you’ll rarely bother your teammates on purpose, but more than enough opportunities to mess with each other on purpose!

I’m going to read the article, but I first wanted to mention that this is actually a really cute picture of Nathan lol

Not a hot take, but a controversial one for sure:

I mean

I mean, yeah, the payment system is the problem. Android makes you go through all kinds of hoops when you sideload apps or alternate storefronts, making it sound terribly dangerous to less-savvy users, so apps not on the Play Store are going to have way less exposure. The (theoretical) issue is that Google is using

I mean, they know full well that they broke the TOS; their whole goal is to upend the TOS so that there isn’t anything to take responsibility for.

It’s not just TCG, though, it’s the VGC and Pokken tournaments, too. That’s more what I’m wondering about.

I wonder why they aren’t doing digital tournaments at all.

take the star, take it and run
