If you aren’t married to Spotify, I think Youtube Premium is 100% worth the price of entry. No ads on Youtube is SO nice (I know I could ad-block, but I don’t mind paying to get rid of ads), and combined with Youtube Music it’s easily the best value out of all the streaming services I pay for. Especially considering

Yeah, my mom switched from YouTube TV to Sling when the price increased, and Sling is a HUGE downgrade in so many ways—the limited DVR is a big one, but the worst part is the horribly unintuitive interface. My dad chose to stick with YTTV just because the unlimited DVR was worth it for him.

I hope they start giving some indication when a quick resume gets wiped. That could be unfortunate for games that have save limitations (which are admittedly rare, but still exist)

Part of the reason one might expect social commentary is because CDPR made a big deal about the existence of said social commentary. When there was criticism of various depictions (like the weird ads of trans people) they defended them by saying it was intentional, that it was part of a message.

You know, Nintendo pulled off their news feed pretty well. It’s unobtrusive (you’re only “forced” to see articles when you unlock it in portable mode) and many of the articles are genuinely interesting, like developer interviews or post-mortems and patch notes.

That’s interesting, because to me it sounds more like it took a lot of surface level depictions (and occasionally stereotypical depictions) in an attempt to create diversity, without exploring the realities of the various identities and communities they included.

You should probably frequent another site if you’re not interested in criticism of representation and diversity. It’s very common here, and is why a lot of people love this site.

“I don't enjoy this thing, so no one else can either"

Why can’t it be both? Why can’t a corporation do something because it’s financially or legally advantageous AND because it actually affects people?

What dialect of English do you speak, where the most important definition of blind is something other than unable to see because of disease or injury?" Sounds fascinating!

Most mesh routers come in packs with the router and one or two satellites, so I’m assuming Florence reviewed whatever the standard “size” is for each model. But it would be nice if it specified as much in the article!

“I don’t find satisfaction in this thing, so no one else can either!” 🙃

I don’t think studio loyalty is the right term—it’s not about people fawning over a studio (though that certainly exists), it’s more about interest and excitement. If a studio consistently puts out games that you enjoy, it makes total sense that you’d be excited and interested every time they announce something new.

You certainly aren’t obligated to like DA:I, but I don’t think it fits into the “Bioware hasn’t made a good game since 2010" narrative. It was critically acclaimed and millions of people loved it—it has a pretty good claim for being a “good game.”

I was hoping that Anthem would make a comeback, but it’s looking less and less likely. Shame, the flight and shooting and abilities felt pretty good.

Anyone know how it handles Android notifications? Specifically, does it let you perform notification actions (mark as read, etc)?

People are really split over the humor! Half of the reviews love it, and half say it’s annoying and distracting.

For many people, the ease of use is worth it. I can confidently say that, no matter how much better it sounds, I’m never going to install ceiling speakers or even go back to a receiver-based surround system. The effort just isn't worth it. Maybe someday in the future, if I make enough that I can pay someone to set it

lol you good fam, I get it now and I appreciate the attempt 😀

First, to clarify, I’m not saying they don’t care at all—it’s more like they don’t care enough, or perhaps that they don’t care in the right way.
