Yeah, but some developers pull it off better than others. And I'm honestly kind of concerned about these ports coming less frequently as developers start moving to next gen consoles. I know games are becoming more scalable, regardless, because of the Series S, but the gap between the Switch and the other consoles is

I was hoping against hope, because Brenda Braithwaite (maybe Romero at this point?) is a genius and one of my personal heroes. And the idea of shifting genres as you “zoomed in” sounded really cool. But it always had that weird janky look and generic art style that never bode well for overall quality.

I was hoping against hope, mostly because I love Brenda braithwaite

Nope. Just bought a controller that started getting drift within weeks.

Yeah, it’s really weird having that detailed logo next to all of the minimalist icons. I wish they had made an outlined version of the logo.

I’m sorry, but the whole “send screenshots and videos to your phone” feature is HORRIBLE. Nintendo did it in the most Nintendo way possible, which is to say batshit, counterintuitive, and slow. Here’s the process:

God, I can’t believe it came out this year

I got a PS4 in 2016, I think, and it’s still working perfectly to this day. Haven’t even cleaned the dust from inside or whatever people did. And I’m lucky (?) enough to live next to a highway, so I actually never noticed how loud it was. Small blessings lol

As much as I loved the original, I thought the sequel was so much better in almost every regard. It was more colorful, had better performance, better music for the most part, and added a lot of neat additions to the combat. Though I missed the post-mission mini games lol

If you want shows you can REALLY watch without looking, find shows that have Audio Description! AD is sort of the blind/visually impaired equivalent of closed captions: an audio track with a narrator who describes what’s happening on screen between bits of dialogue. Just go to language/subtitles settings while

As someone who's never had an Xbox, Quick Resume was making me reallllllly jealous. But if you never know what's on hold and something can be dropped at any moment, I'd be afraid to use the feature at all. 😕

Now playing

Moon River from Bayonetta 2 is so so so good also.

Eh, the home screen thing is definitely intentional. They’re moving to a smartphone model, where the internals get incrementally better and some new features are added year by year, but the experience is largely the same between generations.

I mean

Even if they just helped the Ultimate competitive scene grow more, I think people would be much more tolerant of them shutting this down

I mean, the tournament is being played remotely, no? So I imagine every player needs their own copy of the game.

Most people (myself included) seem to find the DS4 a lot more comfortable.

I think you meant “speaker” instead of “microphone”

I don’t know what half-certified English teacher you had, but I was always taught that every part of a metaphor matters—the tenor, the vehicle, and the manner in which you compare them.
