How... incredibly out of touch.
How... incredibly out of touch.
They’re his employer, they can impose whatever penalty they want to within reason. I think it's appropriate.
It really isn’t. Kotaku regularly talks about social issues in pieces that aren’t primarily about social issues. Maybe you just didn’t notice it before, but if you pay extra attention I’m sure you’ll start to see it.
You can use the Switch Parental Controls app to get really granular playtime data. You need to turn parental controls on, but if you allow all content it really doesn’t affect your experience at all.
Fun fact: if you set up Parental Controls on your Switch, you can see really granular playtime data in the Parental Controls app (on iphone or Android). Like, exactly how long you played a game on any given day, cumulative time per game, overall play time per month/week/etc. Here’s the best screenshot I could find:
Yeah, definitely, but MS is definitely making strides with all the studios they’re buying up. It’ll probably take a few years to see the biggest payoffs (IE, major Bethesda exclusives), but I think we’ll see much better exclusives on the Xbox fairly soon.
yall up in here so pressed about politics in a gaming review, like you’ve never been to kotaku before
I mean
Kotaku has never tried to be non-political or non-biased, and is all the better for it.
He literally said that if you can afford it, you should go for it and try to enjoy yourself?
It’s really unfortunate that Sony hasn’t announced a Dualsense Back Button Attachment—I love that thing so much.
Can’t wait for folks to freak out about the BLM mural *cackles*
Nope. If you want to play your physical games, you need to get the physical PS4. More deets:
Seriously! They're just being an asshole, don’t know why people are on board with them.
...Why? People feel what they feel. Who are we to invalidate their experience when it isn’t bothering anyone? When, in fact, many people have gotten comfort when they learned that others had the same aversion?
I’ve never owned an Xbox (and don’t particularly have an interest in getting one now), but it seems like MS is outdoing Sony on most fronts. It’s almost the inverse of the XB0/PS4: this time Sony is pushing features no one was asking for (and require buy-in from developers), while Microsoft is focusing on the basics.
as someone in the field, I can tell you that the DSM is at best a guideline
it’s so cool when people invalidate other people’s experiences based on nothing but their own lack of said experience
MS has a zero interest payment plan that includes Game Pass. Don’t think you can get it without Game Pass/XBL, though.
The biggest problem, IMO, is the storage. You have less than 400GB, which is going to fill up incredibly fast unless you only play one or two games at a time—and we’re in an age of service games, where a lot of people have several games they pick up a few times a week.
