In a weird way, I think the art style is the most damning part of the package. It seems like all the component pieces are competent, but when the art director was seemingly kidnapped from 2007, "competent" isn't a good enough reason to pick up a service game.

Eh, Paladins was actually at the forefront of the (short lived) hero shooter trend, and they've continued to invest in it and support it really well. And even though it was overshadowed by Overwatch, it's quite different and quite good.
