One of my biggest pet peeves is when people have bumper stickers that are written in such a small font that I have to get up real close to read them, and they inevitably say something about not tailgating.

I would argue salespeople actually detract from the experience. They actively make things worse through incompetence.
Salespeople add zero value to the experience. I know more about the cars I’m interested n then they do. They don’t even know the simple things like what they actually have in inventory. Don’t feed birds (or ducks or geese or anything else with feathers!) bread! It’s bad for them. It’s junk food: filling but not nutritious. When we’re not risking spreading a highly contagious disease, it’s okay to feed them bird food, not people food.

One of these days the finance guy is going to convince me that I actually need the extended warranty. And then I’ll cancel the sale contract and go buy a car that’s reliable enough and/or offers a good enough factory warranty to not need an extended one.

One car family here. Motorized seats allow for memory settings. Eliminates a huge annoyance.
Right? They have all this data and I’m not sure it’s actually useful. I don’t think I’ve ever bought something based on their recommendations.
