I've just read that if you go into the Catalyst controls and set all the options to default for 3D applications then it should fix it. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to in a moment. I was really disappointed when I loaded up the second level to a measly 15fps. NOT ON MY COMPUTER! >:|

If you get disconnected from XBL then that's different. If it went down, it would be announced. It hasn't gone down in a LONG time.

Something else that is affected by this outage is Folding@Home. I haven't been able to upload my results since this started and if the results fail to upload after a period of time then they are discarded. Basically worthless research.

I haven't encountered the mine cart track glitch before so I can't say anything on that.

Can you post an example of one of these "game-killing" bugs you keep mentioning? I've had it since Alpha, and have NEVER encountered such a thing in the numerous hours I've put into it, and neither has anyone else I know that plays it.

As someone else who wears glasses, I share in your opinion. In fact, it pisses me off to a certain degree.
