“New York City” ≠ Manhattan. I can’t and won’t speak for fellow NYC residents, but there’s a fair number of places in the city where you can drive, park your car in a driveway, and have a reasonable commute (IDK about anyone else, but 45 minutes on a train strikes me as reasonable).
