What does that have to do with the progression of individual drivers through all the series’ that feed into NASCAR?
I was under the impression that this was normal for F1, that years where there’s actual competition was the exception to that rule.
With the engine reved up how’s the turbo lag? You know, when you’re beyond it’s boost threshold and there’s sufficient exhaust gas to spin the turbo.
My GTI feels a little laggy at low RPMs, but when the revs are in the “fun zone” it’s entirely imperceptible.

The last time a ringer won a NASCAR Sprint Cup race was 1973. Not only that, but ringers aren’t really a thing anymore.
