I agree. But I'm not so sure about how much cheaper they feel on the interior. The Scion/BRZ aren't exactly the lap of luxury either, and every kia I've been in in the last few months have been luxury car quality/materials... both were (SX-L models tho, a Sorrento, and a Optima)

Again, I called it before it happened - Kia makes a 1.6L turbo 4 powered competitor that is maybe a touch cheaper feeling on the inside.......but hits a price point of 20-23k to take a commanding bite out of the market. I can see it happening. Let it be the go-to for sportiness in the lineup and it would pair nicely

the fact that you included "kia" in that list makes me happy.

I sincerely hope the competitors are trying a formula which keeps the weight down. Part of the thing I like best about the BRZ is the relatively low curb-weight. The Genesis is already massively more powerful, as is the Mustang V6. Where this thing wins is low center of gravity and weight. I hope they keep that in

I agree, and I want that to happen. More small, affordable RWD sport coupes to choose from? Yes, please.

Sales are fine, for now. But I'll repeat what i've been saying since day 1 - Competition is needed to get a fire under their butts. Whether the story was real or not, there are a ton of reasons not to buy one, even from an enthusiast's stand point. Having some trim variations and mid cycle updates would go a long way
