I’m not making any excuses for what he did, but that translation isn’t very fair. It’s a “female dormitory”, as opposed to a “male dormitory”, there’s nothing wrong with the name and the translation makes it sound more evil than it needs to.

Mainichi says “late teen”, which again is vague, Yomiuri use the word “shoujo” which translates to young girl, Sankei says “teen” (more specifically someone between 10 and 19).
