...or ghosts could just be creepers living for free in your attic.

Calcin Klein...no. But I'm pretty sure those hypercolor shirts from the late 80's will leave an imprint in the fabric of time/space forever.

I completely agree...but I think the answer would be "energy". Of course, there's a big difference between firing synapses and an "ethereal energy mist"...but I think the basic idea of ghosts is trying to explain something without an ounce of scientific logic.

DNA FM/AM ghost tuner? The best part about the paranormal is that its just that easy to make up stuff to fit the need.

I think the real question is whether it will still be foggy under these conditions.

Seriously? Nothing on the iMac? Seems like a no-brainer. From MacRumors:

Well, I work in finance, so really all I need from my computer is the Office suite and a snappy internet. I only push my AIO "rig" when I do some gaming, but like I said I've had no trouble playing Skyrim and Mass Effect 3 on high settings. The 512mb graphics card is the only bottleneck, if you want to call it

...or a strong solar flare....

Bottom line: IF humans are capable of impacting our climate by accident, we most certainly will be capable of impacting our climate on purpose. This is why I'm far more concerned over the next ice age than I am of man-made climate change.

I don't understand the whole albedo effect (which I will forever in my mind read as the "earth's libido" effect). Isn't (one of) the main drivers of global warming the greenhouse effect? Doesn't this entail heat being trapped by our atmosphere? Once light (heat) has hit the ground - whether it hits snow or trees -

Now we know: deforestation near the equator of the earth is bad (therefore forestation around the equator is good), and forestation around the poles is bad (therefore deforestation around the poles is good). Sounds like we just need to send the loggers from Brazil to Russia! Problem solved!

This was my thought as well (also grew up in PNW, btw). They thought it would take centuries for shrubs to turn to trees? WTF? If the environment is right for it (temperature, water, sunlight, etc.) a forest will grow practically overnight. If they thought it would take centuries for the environment to be right for

Just curious what is driving your desire. I have a late-'09 2.66Ghz 27" i5 with 8Gb RAM and have found that it still performs amazingly today. I want to upgrade, but I can't find a descent argument to sway my wife...

"physical body is just an environmental interactive suit to experience this duality of existence while here on this dimensional plane"

I'm missing the connection...ancient indians hate television?

The law is very clear on this. You are not allowed to trade on insider information of ANY kind, no matter how you received it. The only legal thing you can do in this situation is keep your mouth shut, report the information to a compliance department (required if you work for a bank, for example), and wait until a

According to this logic my box of mix tapes from the 80's is worth in the BILLIONS now.

I expected something along the lines of this when I read the title...

I'm not sure about 2-3 years, but it's possible given that FB will be forced to really ramp up the revenue generation (read: in your face advertising). That's exactly what caused a lot of people to jump from MySpace to FB in the first place...MS was becoming increasingly annoying while FB was clean, elegant and

It's not an exact science...since you have to account for potential growth. How do you value FB's potential growth?
