it’s possible that one good thing came out of this episode, that she was able to get the police involved and get this man off the street. It is terrible to be assaulted like that, but it’s very possible she prevented someone else being murdered.

I recommend putting her picture in a beautiful, fancy frame and toasting her. And you might try making her favorite dish for your own enjoyment. If it turns out well, you can thoroughly enjoy it. If it turns out poorly, go feed the birds with it.
