A lot of people’s premiums went up b/c their insurance got better. It was so bad before the ACA that it didn’t meet the minimum requirements after the law passed.

Also, haven’t premiums gone up year after year regardless of the ACA? I mean, that’s what happened at my employer.

It’s such a specifically evil thing to do. Like...who even thinks to do that? People certainly go to jail for less. I don’t get it.

This baffles me. When I was growing up, a full third to half of my teachers were black. Granted I grew up in rural SC.

My is an education professor. She’s American Indian. What she has noticed is there are barriers put in place that can keep people of color from being teachers.

I wanted to google something related to this and I came up with the following: 97% of teachers in Massachusetts (where I teach) are white, there is a lower percentage of teachers of color now than there were pre-1954, and “In some American cities, the odds that a Black male student will be taught by a Black male

And, as we may have discussed before, 50% of teachers are not in the education profession after 5 years.

It took me until my fifth year to feel like I knew my stuff.

...but teachers should only be 21-year-old Harvard kids who want to teach for two years!
