There has to be a middle ground between mass incarceration and spending months in jail when you have this history of violence.

Like we have life in prison without the possibility of parol. That seems to take care of the can’t-let-them-be-in-society problem. I can’t really think of any other use for it other than revenge.

Hanging/shooting/beheading is cheap, but obviously a no-no in “enlightened” times.

There are times when I question my belief that the death penalty has no place in a modern, developed, progressive nation.
