It’s always sad for me to realize how those characters trade on hurtful stereotypes for characterization. When I was a kid they were, bar none, my favorite part of the movie. I also remember them being among the only characters who were fully supportive of Dumbo.

Seriously. They just *had* to start the trailer with that song she sang him. I don’t care if it’s a hokey trick to make me cry; it works, because all I can hear is her singing in the original. And, now I’m in tears again.

As an animator, Pink Elephants on Parade is one of my favorite things in the world. I’m excited to see what Tim Burton does with this. And Devito AND Michael Keaton - can we get Michelle Pheiffer and Chrisopher Walken in on this?!

C’mon. Where’s your sense of history? They’re obviously taking a page out of the campy 70's TV show. The first season was set in the 40's, with Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor, and the 2nd and 3rd season set in the 70's, with Lyle Waggoner as his own son, Steve Trevor, Jr.
