The Garth Brooks one is almost a cheat, because it actually features members from KISS. Kind of like Fear Factory’s remake of Gary Numan’s “Cars”, featuring Gary Numan singing every other verse.

There are two great covers of Elvis Presley’s “Always on my Mind”, one was a big hit for Willie Nelson, the other was also a big hit for Pet Shop Boys. This may sound like blasphemy, but I kind of like the Pet Shop Boys version best out of all three.
In Anthrax’s version of the song, it sounds like they are saying “chicken in my head”
Seconded on Minutemen. Speaking of which, I also like Calexico’s version of “Corona”
Gary Friedrich also passed away today:
I know Tomorrow Never Dies isn’t the best Bond movie, but I still enjoyed it, and Pryce was a decent villain.
Hall one was vendors and artist alley, Hall two was celebrity booths and more vendors (mainly toy and sword vendors). I saw a few people had “Horror Festival” on their badges, but I have no idea where any of this horror programming was being held, and there weren’t any horror icons in the celeb area. Probably didn’t…
Two nitpicky things: Didn’t the victims just have their front teeth pulled? Because the dollhouse floor was made of molars. Also (that this is really nitpicky), there was one scene where Alan comes in the kitchen holding a Schnucks grocery bag. That’s a St. Louis based chain that does not reach as far as the Missouri…
Speaking of comic cons, anyone her make it out to Wizard World Chicago this weekend? Thought it was really disappointing, they are trying too hard to make it seem bigger than it really is. They need to get rid of all the nonsense like the T-Mobile truck and State Farm tent and tattoo parlors and what have you, and…
One of my problems of the book was how it had this last-second killer reveal, and then explained the aftermath in just a few pages. I’m kind of glad the show just ended it on the gut-punch.
I agree with everything you just said, I have no idea why people dislike it so much. It also has a line I still quote almost every week, when Jackie complains about his deli order: “Did I tell you to put the cheese on there? You people with the cheese, it never ends.”
I like the Seinfeld finale. Sure, most of it is a clip show, but the rest of it is really funny. The prison standup routine at the end is hilarious.
By the time it finishes it’s theatrical run, Ant Man & the Wasp (starring characters that are hardly household names) will have made almost as much as Justice League (featuring all of DC’s most popular characters) did last year.
Ride the tiger
You can see his stripes but you know he’s clean
Off subject here, but there’s another book called Severance that’s a collection of short prose stories, each one is exactly 240 words long and is about the last thought of a decapitated person (all real and fictional), like Anne Boleyn, Mishima, Medusa, etc.
If this guy is supposed to be a bazillionaire real estate mogul, I kind of find it hard to believe an economics professor wouldn’t know who he is.
That was a good movie, but it wasn’t a wide release, so I’m guessing that’s why it was overlooked here
BONESAW IS READEEEEEE!!!!
They mention that the serum he took affected his mind, so I don’t think he was supposed to have a clear motivation but revenge and general villany.
