In the wee years of the 21st century, Audi offered the allroad with a hideous green leather interior that’s usually derided by others as ‘kermit skin’. it is the worst. all other challengers are not muppets and therefore invalid

...but I’m not wrong ;)
so just so I’m getting this whole thing straight: For the first time in possibly ever, Ford has come to accept that they make a crap product, and subsequently decided to just give up in the market segments where there’s actual competition. Now just make the stuff where they’re protected by chicken taxes and other…
I think there’s merit to a comeback story, if done right. I think that proving that someone can come back and be a better person after horrible transgressions helps support the idea that the problem is the system more than the person. Just throwing away the person is too easy. It scapegoats the problem’s way out of…
My father was a drunk, a vindictive jerk, and he often solved problems with sledgehammers rather than sweet talk, so I basically idolized the man. The one thing he told me one night in a moment of drunken clarity that always stuck with me was that there are too many perfectly valid reasons in the world to hate people…
funny- my 85 CJ-7 had paint on the driveshaft, so did my 2002 Tacoma. neither vehicles are known for their rust resistance.
lol. It was a Ford superduty that I fight with on an almost daily basis. frame rust, body rust, axle rust, driveshaft rust, manifold stud and bolt rust, injector rust, brake line rust, fuel like rust, cam phasers, bent tensioners, plastic timing chain guide cracks, intake manifold leaks, disintegrating body mounts,…
given the sample size, they probably had 5 wagons, hence the nice round 80% figure. I’d also bet that given the low sales rates of wagons in general, they’re probably older models in lesser states of repair
Ford engineers are consummate engineers. this means that if they didn’t do it themselves, its crap, if it’s too reliable, it doesn’t have enough features yet, and if it has one more ft-lb of torque capacity than the nonlinear 3D finite element model the PhD’s circled around the server says it needs, then it’s not cost…
I’m suspicious of grey cars. They’re like ghosts that sneak up without being noticed. I started picking up the trend when sometimes, a car might surprise me out of a blind spot or by blending into the background, so I became suspicious of them. Later on, when I started to show up at accident scenes (I’m an engineer,…
I think we need to accept that Bernard is an ‘unreliable narrator’, given his fall and subsequent leaky ear brain juice condition.
I get that you’re frustrated by a lack of action, but this is the second post I’ve read where you lament the lack of adequate housing and.... nothing. Then what? what’s the solution? are you trying to raise awareness of your frustration, or are you, um... what are you trying to do?
I’ll listen to anyone who says anything and can actually back up their viewpoints with validated facts, not regurgitated garbage from alt-right (or leftist) nonsense.
think of it this way: it’s always at arm’s reach and there’s zero hassle in using it and putting it right back in the charging rack, so you’ll use it more. If my floors/cars/furniture/stairs are 3x cleaner all the time because I’m 3x more likely to just grab the bloody thing and use it, then it’s worth it (to me).
I call BS. why wouldn’t you invoke the warranty?
I have an $80 Shark and a $300 Dyson Animal. I don’t use the Shark anymore. It’s that good.
and there you have it.
you say that, but after what is now over 10 seasons of seeing how Filoni crafts a story and a camera shot, go back and watch the Clone Wars movie again. you can easily pick out the scenes where he was in the driver seat and the scenes where Lucas was calling the shots. the Filoni scenes are so much better. the space…
why is she wearing a collared shirt and tie?
will join the chorus of other late 30's-early 40's dads by saying that I can’t wait to watch this with my daughter.
