MS Security Essentials is garbage. It USED to be 'semi' decent, but as of a few updates ago its pretty close to the worst available. If you want something free, use Avast. Stay away from MSSE.

This is not true at all. Connecting the outlet's ground screw to the 'box' without grounding the box itself does NOT ground the outlet. Unless you have a steel box in a steel frame building. Wood Frame construction will not work.
