fuckin hell, when was that, and why don't I remember it?

I've always thought the story we've been seeing is really Peggy's as much as it is Don's. I mean, think about it, in the first episode she's a secretary on her first day, and by the end she's an executive. In the 60's. Unreal.

yeah, I mean, Pete is a jerk, but he never raped anyone.

I thought that too for a while, but I have to say, one of the most brilliant things about the show is how they make you think you know a character or have your mind made up about them, and then they throw a curve ball at you. For example, I generally don't like Pete but a few episodes into Season One when he goes home

it's ace. I don't think its on Netflix yet and I can't just watch it on Channel 4 now that I live in the States.

I actually thought for a minute at the end of season 7 part 1 that Don and Peggy were going to get together, but I believe pretty firmly that's a sacred cow to Weiner, and one that will never see the inside of the abattoir.

I don't think they're going to do it. I think the show will end with Peggy remaining single, but having climbed the corporate ladder quite well.

did you see him on the Black Mirror Christmas special?

I've gotta say, I love the direction they went with Joan. In season 1 they presented her as the dumb head secretary with no ambitions other than sleeping with a partner, but later on they showed her to be actually very clever, ambititious, but totally fucked over by the system.

I have a working theory that throughout pretty much all of seasons 1 and 2, the writers were shouting at us "can you believe shit used to be like this?!!!"

I've actually sort of found some sympathy for Betty in the last two seasons, I can't quite explain why.

I really didn't see it coming, I thought he was going to marry Faye, as well. I don't understand the Megan hate, though.

that's already happening, their sales are way down. Chipotle and the other fast casual places are really cutting into their business, because if you spend just a little more (or sometimes the same amount) you get way better quality. Minimum wage could go away tomorrow and it still wouldn't help McDonald's. They should

worst than that, I'd say they're the person who loudly proclaims how they don't tip, as though it's something to be proud of.

I'm kind of surprised to read all of the hate/who needs this? If nothing else, I see the use case being responding to a text while my phone is in my pocket (especially lately when it's been extremely cold and I don't want to take my phone out and take my gloves off to respond to a text.) Or at home, doing things

I'm sorry, did I say the whole world? I meant the whole world of people that are actually using them.

what's that thing they say about haters, they're gonna...what is it? Be nice? No, it's something... But seriously, I think these are the same people who couldn't stop saying "why would I buy an iPad?" In 2010. (April arrives, entire world buys an iPad).

really, so no one should ever use a credit card, ever? The problem is not use of credit, it's making sure when you use one that you have a plan to pay it off, and stick to it.
