I was driving from Queenstown to Wellington and trying to find somewhere to eat. Oh, here's a place. Hmm...spaghetti on pizza...ok. Then I get back in the car, and the next town down the road was chock a block with restaurants.
I can't really fault them for that, France and Italy have kind of got the lock on Brie and Parmiggiano. But they do some very good wines, and killer lamb.
I love Christchurch! Cool city. Funny how that works, I don't know why, but the Indian and just about all Asian food I've had in Oz or NZ has been better than here in the States, but the Mexican here has been better.
Don't take offence, I was joking and taking advantage of an opportunity to poke at both Oz and NZ, which I actually adore as countries. I was in Melbourne and never could find decent Mexican food, but here in the States it's really good.
Oh, I agree. As a former resident of Oz who now lives in the US, I have no idea what the hell Outback Steakhouse or is supposed to be. It's basically Applebee's with kangaroo crossing signs on the walls. But yeah, I would eat that pizza as well, I'll admit. I saw spaghetti on a pizza once in NZ. No lie.
