I fucking love both Reis and Foster in this. Their performances are awesome, and it’s worth watching for that alone. Reis deserves a stellar career; she’s like a worthy heir to what Angela Bassett was like in 90s - an incredibly badarse who can be extremely vulnerable at the same time and be fully believable at both.

The difference between working on your first record for years and having to recapture the magic for record #2. Come on.

S2 is like he was taking a beginner class on Mamet dialogue.

It’s a talk show that discusses current political events, so... they weren’t going for a home run, they were going for “being a talk show that discusses current political events,” which “two mentally deficient geriatrics are once again about to battle for the most intensive job on the planet and we somehow let this

I guess they missed that his criticism of Trump also included that he’s a fascist piece of shit, but hey, get mad because your side insisted on a useless old fossil in order to beat a malevolent old fossil. That is totally Stewart’s fault. Totally.

The question people should ask is how this miniseries would have been regarded if it were a standalone thing rather than something called True Detective.

For a show that coasted so much on *vibes* Pizzolatto sure has a high f’ing opinion of his own fun but stupid writing.

Maybe if somebody has such bad PTSD that they think acorns are gunshots and empty their firearm at the sound of an acorn, they shouldn’t be allowed access to firearms?

I mean you’re pointing to the economy and asking why Biden isn’t getting more credit. The answer is, it isn’t of his doing. Add in our border situation, the geopolitical landscape, prices that have not come close to reverting to pre-inflationary levels (and probably won’t), and his seemingly endless supply of mental

Complete nonsense.

He beat trump 1) because of COVID, and 2) because people were scared of trump.  Another democrat could have done that, and would have a better chance of reelection now.

If you have to wrap your candidate in bubble wrap to protect them, maybe...pick a better candidate?  But I’m not a highly paid election consultant.  What do I know?

So I mostly agree with you. I think the main issue a lot of people have is that we’re being forced into a pretty crappy choice with this old dude with a fading memory who is all in on Palestinian genocide. It sucks.

You are a massive part of the problem.  Its not that he’s old, its that he’s in major mental decline.  YOU are one of the reasons the Democratic Party is in this mess.  You want to pretend like it isn’t happening when it clearly is.

Lol, comment section here is exactly what I expected.

A bunch of whining that “the stakes are too high” to make fun of Joe Biden. Once again: it is not the media’s job, nor has it ever been the media’s job, to overlook the flaws in your favorite candidate just because you view it as necessary for the greater good. If

And the fact that he likely won’t again is a testament to how bad a candidate he has become after four years of his presidency. A generic “non-Biden Democratic candidate” beats Trump in polls. Biden does not.

I know what you mean

Thanks for confirming that you know nothing about what the movie was actually going to be like. Or for some weird but convincing satire. Not sure which is going on here, to be honest; it’s getting harder and harder to tell.

This just seems like an example of “just because something upset you, that doesn’t mean anybody did anything wrong.” Like the kayfabe around Muppets is that you treat them as real in that you don’t acknowledge the puppeteer, not that you treat them as real in that you wouldn’t do things to Muppets if you wouldn’t do

This is the kind of thing we have to stop doing: pretending the 1st Amendment shields you from criticism.
