I listened to it before the reviews came in, and I ended up loving it. So just jump in before grumpy reviews like this one sour you on a lovely album!

I love it.

Awesome. The best J Mascis story I have from living here is when J's young son was attempting to smack every gentlemen's balls backstage at a show, and J's gleeful filming of said activity without lifting a finger to stop it.

I live near Northampton, and I've had the awkward honor of running into Frank Black pushing a large cart of boxes down a hallway, and going to the same children's birthday party as J Mascis. J is as odd as you'd expect. I live in a weird weird valley.

I've not seen Spoon proper but I did see Divine Fits two years ago and they were EXCELLENT. Britt is an awkward guy to small talk to though.

How about 'Give it to the Soft Boys' by the Soft Boys??
