Rebuild for Chrome plz, kthnxbai

I have a sit down desk, but am going to invest in an exercise ball to replace my chair. Trying to make the best of a bad situation ;)

I'm moving from 32-bit RC to 64-bit RTM this week. Extremely glad I keep all my document/picture/video folders on other drives. Clean install should be a cinch.

They didn't remove the apps. The apps were never there to begin with.

In the control room of the plant I work at we have several computers, 2 of which run XP. One of our other operators went to adjust the brightness/contrast in the graphic card's settings and instead of it adjusting smoothly, the slider jumped straight to solid black. He couldn't find the slider again with his mouse so

@DarCowAlways: I am currently using the dev build of Chrome from [Portableapps.com] which other's have said worked with extensions. Since then the full version of Chrome has moved extension support to the beta channel, so not sure how the portable community has been affected.

@zach382: Unfortunately I don't have a cell phone. Though I'm not really so tied to my current status that I would "need" to update it during work. Being able to reply is enough for me these days :P

I used to use scripts like these for facebook access, but now with the new feature to reply to messages via email, I just make sure to post my status messages before work and use gmail for any further messaging.

I want to like wave, but currently the lag between pressing a key and having it show up in the blip is making Wave tedious and time consuming to use. Until the lag is fixed, I'm sticking with email and other webapps.

@Unionhawk: LastPass and FlashBlock are indeed awesome. As is the Aviary set of tools.

Still having trouble getting extensions to work on a portable copy of Chrome. Someone please walk me through how to get it working
