Simplicity is here. Many people and most use cases only require a single condition. Tasker is a complex, very involved product that takes above average understanding of what you are trying to do AND the implications of it. For example, on my phone I wanted to set up a geofenced area to turn on my wifi and my bluetooth

It’s too easy to manipulate — you take a system that has multiple points of failure and distill it down into a system with a single point of failure (the exam). Looks at how bad we are security and data integrity with just about everything outside of the military right now. Adding a competency exam for voting will

Additionally, the option to share binary data with VT is disabled by default and must be enabled by the customer, complete with warning that enabling could potentially share sensitive information.

I think the difference for me in this is that it’s one thing to know abstractly your data is being sold, but it’s an entirely different thing to understand the level and depth of your ‘anonymous’ and how detailed the information being sold is. I’ll be nuking my account later today. Already killed Slice.

Seriously, this shit is crazy. I don’t even know what to say other than people are assholes.

Woot PGH Representin’ :) That’s awesome, I always love to see writers in the city. It seems like it would be such a good place for it, I’m surprised there aren’t more.

I feel like there’s a lot of undeserved rage here. What impact does it have on you if these people choose to follow the path you so ... eloquently disparage?

I only lasted a year, and most of the 2nd half of that year I needed daily pep-talks from coworkers about how I was actually helping my students, even if not everyone worked that way. I got out of sales immediately after that, and have never looked back.

I wanted to take a minute and give my experience as a recruiter for a for-profit online college a few years ago. I won’t explicitly mention who I worked for to avoid getting myself in trouble.

A lot of hospitals will also generally charge you to request your Medical Record from them. It’s also worth pointing out that most doctor’s also don’t include Progress notes when fulfilling requests for a medical record — things like why they did what they did, etc. It will generally just include allergies,

It’s great to see this. I was treated for depression for years, without actually dealing with the anxiety which was often the underlying issue. I would have episodes where a friend would say something to me, and I became obsessed there was deeper meaning to what they said. I would obsess over the intonation, the tone,

I just threw up a little bit in my mouth

I agonized long and hard over the Nook Glolight and the Kindle Paperwhite. I have been a Nook user for years, 200+ plus eBooks in the Nook ecosystem. I really, really wanted to go with the Nook Glolight - but ultimately I decided to go with the Paperwhite (this was just 2 days ago). The primary reason is because

I wouldn't think of it as "blast past the known limits" of PC gaming. That's not really the case here. It's more akin to taking off the shackles of risk-adverse business to allow a game to really dream wildly beyond what has ever been possible before.

I'm a technical product manager/scrum product owner. I can stumble through javascript but that's really the extent of my coding knowledge. I have developed some ancillary language just from writing specifications for developers about coding and the use of proper terms, etc so I'm more code-y than I was before, but I

I did that, implementation project manager and then later, integration implementation project manager for quite a few years. It's a lot of fun, and you are right, you don't have to know how to code. It was always hard to explain to people what I did. "Oh I help hospitals install new software." "Is it really that hard

That's been me - I'm doing the whole Gandhi "Be the change you want to see," with pretty limited results. I've received 1 positive interaction on pro-#gamergate side, 3-4 neutral interactions, and 2 outright hostile. However, I have found a lot of really cool people through their moderate commenting on the topic.

100x yes to this! I've studied media and cultural theory throughout my entire academic career, and her work is academically sound. So much of this hysteria around her I think comes from two fundamental misunderstandings: the within cultural critique, you always 'cherry pick' those cases which support your thesis

So ... Fitness != Healthcare; the two are related, but not the same. Additionally, you can't 'whip out' your GoogleFit, as it's a platform, not hardware.

Depending on the actual style they were in, it could be construed as pretty sloppy sparring. I'm a mid-ranked Shotokan Karate student, and I was pretty astounded at how sloppy the fight overall was. The takedown move was pretty, but the rest of it was pretty iffy.
