Most hilarious part of just having been at Stonehenge: seeing tourists use the selfie sticks to take pictures of themselves FROM THE WRONG DIRECTION. Or, maybe they just didn't give a shit about Stonehenge.

The only place Paul Rudd is hotter than in those gifs is in the KISS costume he wears in 'Role Models.'
Said it before, sayin' it again: he must be sticking to his diet of the blood of virgins very diligently. SO beautiful.
Eagle owls are fucking terrifying. I met one at a falconers in Ireland - I guess they're popular there - that was angry when I went into its aviary and it lunged and screeched at me with its wings hunched up like a dragon. It was the size of a Labrador, no joke.
My high school bio teacher ferried specimens for UCSB from the Channel Islands in his plane back in the day. One Monday he told us this horror story about an octopus he was bringing back that got out of its tank while he was over the Channel, squeezed through the slats of the crate the tank was in AND MADE ITS WAY UP…
whoa cool. yeah my interest in japan was always sort of tertiary to other aesthetic cultures but once i lit on this idea i got really into it. i'm not a manga or anime person or anything, but more interested in the backculture, if i may invent a word. :)
Ohhh, I dig you! Not any ukiyo-e but I do have some background murals-in-interiors planned that are rinpa style, which is that very flat gilded method with stylized images on top. :) I do wish I had the dedication to learn woodblock printing.
There should be a couple of sketches further down the thread! :) Thank you for askin'.
I am SO down to share, and you're a boss for asking! :)
Really?! I will totally let you know...and thank you for asking. :) Yeah actually the vibe is more calligraphic bird-and-flower painting styles, rather than ukiyo-e, only coz that's hard and I'm lazy. :)
A lovely thought. I seriously appreciate it. I'm jazzed to keep going! Thanks for the kindness. :)
Thank you for those inspiring words!!
Really? :) Thank you, I will.
And here's Bertha as a fire demon.
Here's Samurai Jane with her naginata.
oh...my fucking god. amazing. for reals.
When I get off my phone and onto my 'puter, I will!!
I will remember you said that, be inspired by it, and will show you early art, if you like. :)
Not only do I like it, but I've written a thesis about the edicts of bushido and their parallels in the female mores of the novel, and am creating a graphic novelization where I take Jane's 'trembling white innocence,' as it's incorrectly described above, and adapted it into the idea of Jane as an Edo-era samurai…
After the last time I ordered Clarks from Zappos, I started to get a ton of those kind-of-creepy-that-The-Man-knows-I-like-cute-boots ads popping up on my feed, y'know? It looks like Merrell and Sorel are making some very stylish boots - maybe they have more sizes?
