Uhm, there is actually a huge difference in aerodynamics between a trainer front and a (at least modern european) cabover tractor..

Now playing

You could have included the launch video as well for a better explaination of the concept. And it’s not as far off from production as some believe..

Late to the ball but man I miss going to these races. Also miss working with these guys!

YES! I actually pointed the exact same thing out in the TT-RS article a year ago. Looks OK from the side they were designed, but on the opposite it’s just terrible.. https://jalopnik.com/1794022287#rnzytpphg

GM Pulled the plug on several SAAB projects just before launch to not risk competing with Opel in Europe. Inculing crossover, electric car and compact car.
Also that SAAB payed more for GM engines than they would have been able to buy BMW engines externally for, allegedly to avoid making profit and pay high corporate

So yeah, taking delivery on mine next week. Osmium grey. Will paint the faux aluminium “skidplates” black though, at least in the front. Did the photoshop work, it checks out..

Right. The sensible people. The ones who need a 750 hp car, willing to pay what, two times? the standard C7, which by all means is still pretty bonkers..

Volvo has known about this for a couple of years, they have partnered with Uber in a lot of their autonomous development for the XC90. They have pretty much been working on two different but similarly specced versions for quite a while (which caused quite a bit of confusion at times when I was in the project at least,

Only thing I would wish for would be the concepts wheels. I’m not a fan of the XC40 wheels they put on it...

They are most definately doing something to get worked up about...

I’m no fan of this particular wheel design, but I do prefer when the wheels look to have a bit of motion to them (I assume the aim is to make a sort of swooping motion effect) rather than looking like they are out to hack up children and small animals..

Well ok, so the whole car isn’t ruined, but it is all I can see in the official photos. Annoying as hell.

I’m sorry, but this car is all but ruined for me now. A friend pointed something out that simply cannot be unseen..
Notice how the nice, asymmetrical wheels flow with the movement of the car?

I think this is just a case of agreeing to disagree :) I really like the new cars, I acually hate the old XC60 (it feels like driving a ship compared to my own F31 3-series wagon..) but I think the new one looks really good. I love the new V90 and XC60 rears, not a fan of the S90 and XC90 though, something is just off

Well, simply put, “No”. All you see is the side of the exterior. Rear end fixes from what I’ve seen quite a bit of what at least bothers me with the XC90. And the old XC60 is an ooold car with an outdated interior and tech, this will retain most if not all of the new goodness of the XC90. The new interior blows the

Canadian Ronnie Mac, all the way down to the #69.

Now, I’m sorry, but this is just BS.. Being someone involved in the autonomous car projects of a Scandinavian auto maker, I’m a bit offended by this seeing the amount of work that is being put into making the cars more or less indistinguishable from the regular cars. This thing from Toyota is not even an indication as

Nobody seems to ask the important question: WHAT SHOES ARE THOSE?! Close up at 2:16. Gulf all the things!

Don’t want to divulge too much personal info, but I’m a technical/design consultant and have been working with Polestar for a few years (among other things, I was technical lead for the Polestar V60 and S60 road cars and did most of the mechanical design for the modifications to those cars). I can tell you that the
