Tesla’s marketing is full of conflicting statements. Elon wants to promise the moon but the legal department has to step in and make it clear that you are only getting a picture of the moon and not the actual moon.

It continues to astound me that incredibly immature technologies that simply don’t work are allowed to use us all as guinea pigs.

I mean, if your vehicle hits something while you’re using that feature, I’m going to hold you accountable.

Man...as an adjuster I can’t wait to hold some smug Model 3 summoning douche at fault for damage to property.

For the love of god...do some research, especially if you’re going to spend so much of the article bitching about the value proposition.

you and this writer who rally’s Junk BMW cars are definitely not the intended audience here. the price is worth it and will get you far more respect in most circles over the Kraut and Limey money pits.

911 for someone 6'6"?

California Emissions needs to die. It was stupid back when, and nobody had the guts to tell Commiefornia to piss off. They have a crap ton of pollution - and it’s HARDLY to do with the cars, and more to do with their lifestyles and choices. Of course, there is a bit of unfortunate topography to go along with their

That wheelbase to ground clearance ratio looks like it is in for a lot of high centering.

I somewhat question Rivian’s ability to ramp up production that fast. I’m rooting for them as I think the truck looks great but 100k vans is a lot of vans in 4 years for a company that doesn’t have a production line set up yet.

I don’t think that is right. It is not 29% of income, someone butchered the 29% factoid along the way. From what I’ve read other places, I think the statement is supposed to be along the lines of “The average American, with employer provided health insurance, pays 29% of the insurance premium; the other 71% is covered

These are the best

Bust then, because that motor frankly sucks. The fact that it won’t run now should be all the indication you need about expected reliability. The only reason I would (and have) consider a Disco I or II is to put an LS in it. The swap is stupid easy. My understanding is that there is a minor oil pan clearance

The Defender should be bare bones basic. This isn’t. It’s really terrible.

Don’t love the design, don’t hate it either. But it’s not intriguing. Maybe it’ll grow on me, but at first glances, it’s just another run of the mill Land Rover to fill up mall parking lots.
