I can't be the only person who listened to the original "Back to the Future" soundtrack frequently as a kid. The music in this episode was from BttF 1, not 2 (although some was reused in Part 2). I caught Lindsey Buckingham's "Time Bomb Town" playing in the cab; it's also on the soundtrack.
