I took the 3DTV plunge this last week. Got a 42 inch Panasonic Viera 3DTV and, to be honest, it's beautiful. I got it for $799 (didn't have to pay for tax nor shipping, hooray!) on Amazon, I also purchased a Blu-ray 3D player/surround sound and the Avatar box set which also included 2 rechargeable glasses.

Sorta the same here. The 3D is just an added luxury that I don't mind at all ;D

Yes! I remember getting this along with a ton of other games (a racing game where all the cars had rockets and a golf one) on CD when we purchased our Packard Bell machine. I think I was about 9yrs old. Good times...
